for attending wisdom and discipline;

doing what is right and just and fair;
for giving prudence to the simple,

let the wise listen and add to their learning,

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,

Following God means to obey and to get better understanding of His word. To be able to discern what is right and wrong. To be able to teach others His word, and to learn more yourself. Knowing what is right will help you be able to know how to live. To have skill at living (wisdom).
Fear of Lord is not really the fear we would think. It’s giving reverence and respect to God. He wants us to serve Him. So we need to give Him respect. It will help us grow in life.

The passage is the intro to a walkthrough of life, how to live a life that is complete. For the wise, the book is to increase their knowledge and understanding. For the young, its purpose is to build on their foundation of their wisdom. To gain wisdom you must trust that the Lord knows what’s best for you and must respect his power. That is the base of your spiritual knowledge.
The book mainly describes how to gain knowledge and understanding, and then how to apply it so that you may achieve a successful life. It’s every Christian’s job to give knowledge to the next generation and to increase the “prudence of the simple”. Though it may be hard, Solomon lets us know that by wisdom, you will live a disciplined life. In the end, the purpose of a disciplined life is to set the example for others. Hopefully you will be the example someday.

Its saying that wise people do the right thing that God wants them to do. So the fools only do what they want to do and never listen to God. So lets be wise and not fools and listen to God and do as he says . let the holy sprit in you tell you what to do. Listen to god and he will come into your heart . When god is in your heart do everything he says.

it means that god is truly the start of true and great wisdom. He gives and takes wisdom. He always will. Christans get their knowledge from the lord. They always will. God grants wisdom to the good man, and gives despise of wisdom to the evil man.

I think this means that Proverbs tells us how to live. It’s basically an instruction manual for life. I also think it tells us how we are supposed to live. I think it is also saying that to get knowledge, the first step is to fear the Lord. Whenever we are unsure about something somebody is doing, you can look it up in the Bible. Proverbs would be a good book to see what God says about different actions. We should use these verses in our everyday lives. We should also remember that Proverbs is a good book in the Bible to look at to help us with our actions. I also think this means that we should do what this verse says to become wise, along with fear of the Lord. Proverbs can help us become wise and more disciplined.

I think it means…
Solomon was wise and lived a prudent life. He had all the things that the verses said and probably more. God wants us to have some of these abilities and to ask Him for wisdom. He wants us to fear Him. He wants us to help the wise be wiser and the unwise to become wise.
Read The Word Of God, it will help very much in your journey for wisdom. You know that the foolish hate wisdom and self-control, but don’t listen to them! Do what God wants and what you need. You know what is right. SO DO IT!

Proverbs 1:1-7 is saying that the passage the people are about to read are for everyone no matter how smart you are and that the passage will give you wisdom. For the wise, even more wisdom. It was also saying that if you hate this passage you are a fool. It said that the passage will teach you to fear the Lord. It said that this was the passage of the King over Israel.
This passage will help you understand the sayings and riddles of the wise. The passage will give prudence to the simple. It said this will give you skill at living. It will tell you what is right, just, and fair. Over all he says that this will make you wise and will help you to make the right decisions and go to heaven!! (yay!)

Prayer is powerful, and I think people should use it more often. It can even help in the smallest areas. Some people may look at it as a powerful thing (which it is) used only for powerful scary times of need. But prayer pretty much goes along with everything in life.
The Lord wants us to talk to Him daily (prayer) and spend time in His word. But sadly not everyone does that often enough. Prayer is more powerful than we think and it helps with the bad and good. So that’s my way of putting prayer into words. ☺

One way you could apply this is figuratively. Take James’ (the book in the bible, not the actual person) advice literally and if you’re happy, sad, or sick, call to the lord and ask for you to be healed. Or sing to the Lord when you’re happy. Or if you are in trouble pray to the Lord for wisdom so you may know what to do if you don’t know. He will not rebuke you for asking.
Don’t worry, your never going to be on your own. Because if you take these verses to heart. You will be prepared for whatever comes your way. And ask if you would like to be healed. And ask if you would like something from god like no rain or RAIN. And that is my paragwaphs. :o)

If you are having a hard time in life you should ask God for forgiveness and pray to him so that you may be healed it may not happen fast but in the end it will be good. And if we are happy we should sing to our Lord God. If your or a loved one is in pain or sick let them pray to God or ask the elders to pray for you so you may be healed. All of these things are stated in James 4:14 as listed above.
A pray offered by you in faith will have great power toward the people around you if you are true to God. If sin let you or a loved one ask God if you have then you ask God you an also confess to each other. Therefore pray for each other and forgive each other so you may be forgiven. Slater
